EPA announces initial selections from $2 billion Inflation Reduction Act program – the largest single environmental justice investment in history – delivered by President Biden’s Investing in America agenda
Exciting news! Today, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced more than $325 million in funding for 21 selected applications to help disadvantaged communities tackle environmental and climate justice challenges through projects that reduce pollution, increase community climate resilience and build community capacity.
For applicants looking for partners, we are sharing the results of the Environmental Protection Network (EPN) Program Partner and Assistance Survey, which lists potential partners by EPA region.
To provide eligible applicants with the most effective Technical Assistance (TA) possible, and in light of the of the fast-approaching November 21, 2024 Community Change Grants Program (CCGP) application deadline, EnDyna, EPA’s TA contractor, will stop accepting new requests for TA after August 16, 2024.
Additional clarification and guidance on partnerships: In some areas of the country, groups eligible to apply for the Community Change Grants Program (CCG) may have difficulty locating a Community Based Organization (CBO) within their geographic area. EPA would like to remind groups in this situation how the NOFO defines a CBO.
