New Opportunity for Local Leaders in the Environmental, Land Use and Sustainability Fields

Attention local leaders! Are you looking for an opportunity for peer and professional support as you implement sustainability actions for your community?

The new Sustainable Communities Accelerator Network (SCAN) may be perfect for you. In this seven-month program, you will build your professional network, learn from national experts, move your community’s priorities from plan to action and share your expertise and experiences on a national scale.

SCAN is offered in collaboration with the Smart Growth Network. This national alliance of advocates, practitioners, policy makers and local leaders is working towards a shared vision for land use and infrastructure policies and actions that result in healthy, sustainable, equitable and prosperous communities for all.

Each community may nominate a team of up to two leaders to participate in the program. The community must be prepared to undertake a specific project, action or policy that prioritizes sustainability in their local community.
